History - Family
Please contact either of the Group Co-ordinators
The group, which includes members at all stages of research into Family History, meets from 10.00 am to 12.00 noon on the second Tuesday of the month. Many meetings take place in Lavender Hill Library, Battersea, where there is a training room with computers to access research sites, and opportunities for demonstrations or case-studies. We also have regular visits to the National Archives at Kew, where again there are plenty of computers and original records. We also have occasional visits to other record offices (London Metropolitan Archives / Society of Genealogists) for other research. We hope to hold an "introductory session" so that members new to Family History may discover how easy it is to start out on their research. If any Wandsworth U3A member would like to arrange this, please contact Andy.
