Putney Strollers
Putney Strollers will take a summer break in August, resuming on Tuesday 3rd September
Not so much a group, more an open opportunity to enjoy a short walk together in a Putney park or along the riverside, chat with others as we go and include coffee /tea somewhere along the way.
Strolls will take place on the 1st Tuesday morning each month starting at 10.30am
Look out for the meeting point which will be advertised on the website and in weekly emails.
All members welcome - This will be a self organising group. Turn up at the starting point - if you’re running late you’ll easily catch us up wherever we’re walking. Don’t worry, you’ll be very welcome even if you miss the walk and cut straight to coffee!

Tue Nov 5th | Strollers, a walk in two halves. We'll start with a tour of the 261 year old Putney Old Burial Ground to hear about some of the fascinating people buried there. We will also hear a little about the biodiversity of the burial ground. The second half of the walk will take us through five Putney streets and pass the homes of 12 young men who died in WW1 and hear a little bit about their lives and families. We will then finish at the Duke's Head pub on the embankment for coffee and a comfort break. Meet Maggie at 10.45am in front of Putney train station on Putney High Street. |
