Waltham Forest

German A

Two German groups have been running since 2005. There used to be two groups (A and B) but as soon as Jo is able to restart after COVID-19, she will be amalgamating the two into one only.

I open the group by telling them what I have done during the past two weeks; then members relate in turn some similar anecdotes - all in German of course. We then listen to a tape/CD in the Teach Yourself series, and read texts and do exercises in the accompanying books. I provide a bit of explanation and guidance on formal grammar when it's helpful but it doesn't form a major part of our meetings.
