To celebrate the beginning of 2020, over 40 members enjoyed an excellent lunch at The Highwayman Inn at Checkendon.

Our February meeting is also the AGM. The Chairman reported that our U3A had had another very successful year (2019). The Treasurer reported that our funds are in a healthy position so that our membership fee remains at £16. The audited accounts were adopted and agreed by a show of hands. A report was given on the Groups and each month from March one group leader will give details of their particular interest group to encourage new members. The AGM was followed by a very interesting talk by Jack Telling, our Treasurer on 'The Restoration of the Cotswold Canals from Servern to Thames'.

Over tea and biscuits members expressed their enjoyment.

The programme for 2020 will be published in March. You can also see all the speakers, outings etc on the 'Events' page here.

Full details appear in each Monthly Information Sheet.
