This is field trip will look at the Triassic exposures alongside the River Severn near Aust..This is an interesting section of the Upper Trias laid down in changing conditions
through  the Mercia Mudstone and Penarth Group deposits up to the Jurassic boundary. We hope to find the bone beds with fish and shark teeth and scales and if you are                lucky  the occasional dinosaur bone! Please note that although the walking distance is short - around 1 mile - walking in parts could be muddy and slippery so great care will          be required.

To get there turn off  the M48  after crossing the River Severn and follow the road westwards through the village of Aust.to Old Passage.
