Dates for your Diary
June 2019

Monday June 10 th 2019.
11.00 am
Leader : Dr. Geraint Owen.

This visit involves a walk along the coast from Llansteffan and around to Scott Bay to look at the many sedimentary features of the continental Old Red Sandstone
facies , including outstanding examples of calcretes and river channel features. Although walking distances are not great, care is always needed walking on the foreshore.
Please note, due to tidal considerations, that we meet at a slightly later time.

We meet at the main car cark at the far end of the sea front in Llansteffan . Grid ref. SN 354 105
To get there turn off the A40 at Carmarthen and onto the B 4312 which takes you to Llansteffan. Turn left on entering the village towards the sea front.

Please bring waterproof clothing, good walking boots and a picnic lunch.
