Tricia M, the group co-ordinator will, at regular intervals, contact the groups for updates. Tricia will also provide more information and advice on getting a group started should you need some assistance.Tricia will also maintain and update the Groups' folders and posters displayed at the Tuesday meetings.
We are grateful to Colin L who has volunteered to help Tricia M (Groups Co-ordinator); so you will see Colin regularly at the Groups table at our monthly meetings, ready to assist with queries.

Spanish for Beginners- John H is happy to organise the meeting times and venue, but we would like to hear from anyone with some knowledge of Spanish who could help with the language practice. It doesn’t need to be for every meeting – once a month would be a great help.

Book Club 2 is currently suspended due to a falling membership. However, the current members would like to relaunch the group, either as an afternoon or evening meeting and would welcome anyone interested in joining. Please contact %Heather L% so that a group meeting can be arranged to organise an appropriate day and time to suit everyone.
Bits and Bytes Computer Group is looking for more members.
Mike's group is for anyone with an interest in computers and what they can do. It is not a formal computer class and we do not usually cover topics that are best dealt with on a computer course except when the need arises. The intention is that members provide ideas and suggestions for topics to cover at meetings
When, where and how often we meet. We usually meet once a month on a Tuesday from 2.00 to 4.30pm in someone’s house_

Bus Pass 1 group has two or three spaces. They don’t have a regular day to meet as it depends on the choice of the organiser of the group. They have recently had their annual Planning Meeting, so contact %Sylvia W% if you would like to know more.
Creative writing would welcome new members. If you are interested, go along to a meeting and see how you like it. They take place on the 4th Thursday of the month at 1.30 at Aylett's Nursery, at the Dahlia Coffee House. Please contact %Anne K% or sign up at the monthly meeting.
Crib and Natter meets fortnightly in the evening, usually on Tuesdays or Wednesdays. It is organised by Barbara S and she would welcome a few more members. If you would like to play cribbage and have a chat please contact %Barbara S% or sign up at the monthly meeting.

Current Affairs group would like to enrol 3 more members. The group meets on the third Wednesday of each month at 10 am. The venue is usually at London Road Fire station community room where ample parking is available. On the odd occasion when the community room is not available the group meets at one of the members homes. Please contact Ravi L for more information.

Jazz in the Third Age (j3a) aims to be inclusive and is aimed at musicians whether active, inactive, new to or returning to jazz. You can find out more and contact the organiser, Ray W, via their website Jazz in the Third Age
Mah Jong 1 group meets on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday evening of the month and it is looking for more members. If you would like to know more please contact %Mary T% or sign up at the monthly meeting.
Meet and Eat would welcome new members.
Senior Railcard Anyone who has a senior railcard may be interested in joining this group. They don’t have set dates and they average a rail trip every 4 to 6 weeks. This would be a good time to join as they will be having a planning meeting in early January, so anyone who would like to join should contact Trevor T for more information.
Snooker club meets regularly every Friday morning. A couple of members have asked if relative beginners can come. In fact all levels are welcome. Just confirm before turning up. The meetings are at the Snooker club on London Road, formerly known as the Hurricane Rooms.
Table tennis has room for a few more members and beginners are welcome. Most of the current members used to play in their younger days, but beginners are also welcome and there are spare bats if you don’t have your own. They play for an hour every Friday afternoon at 2.30 at Greenwood Park in Chiswell Green. Please contact Fran B via the website or at one of the monthly meeting.
Tai Chi is considered an excellent activity for people of our age group. Our contact for the group is Sheila L and the sessions are held at 4.30pm on Wednesday afternoons at the Community Centre in Marshalswick. The price is now £6 per session (to cover the hire of the hall and the tutor). They would like a few more people to join this group, so find out more by contacting Sheila L
The Welsh groups are all thriving. The Beginners group is now sufficiently confident to be the Welsh Improvers and the Improvers group is now called the Welsh Intermediate. This means that there is currently no Beginners group, but if you would like to learn Welsh, you can contact Miranda B or Elizabeth L who will advise you about the options available or put your name on a waiting list. If you already have some knowledge of Welsh and would like to join one of the existing groups, have a look at the website where you can find out more about the standard and how they are learning.
Walking Football meets fortnightly on Thursday mornings at Smallford. It is no longer a U3A group as numbers could not be maintained. However many of the original members are still playing and they have three active women players please click on the link for more information and to contact David w.

Yoga classes are now up and running. Cost-£6 per session. The class is an hour and a half plus tea and biscuits afterwards - all part of the cost!
