Bits and Bytes Computer Group
Co-ordinator Mike W.
This group is for anyone with an interest in computers and what they can do. It is not a formal computer class and we do not usually cover topics that are best dealt with on a computer course except when the need arises. The intention is that members provide ideas and suggestions for topics to cover at meetings.
We aim to include all levels of experience from beginners to experts. The only requirement is a willingness to try something new and some experience of using email, the Internet and a word processor. So far our meetings have mostly involved practical sessions using laptop computers running a Microsoft Windows operating system (Windows XP, 7 or 10). Members without a laptop can work alongside another member sharing a laptop
Trouble shooting – we also discuss computer and software problems, but these are best dealt with outside the meeting or
in advance of the meeting by email.
When, where and how often we meet:
We usually meet once a month on a Tuesday from 2.00 to 4.30pm in someone’s house.
Please contact Mike W if you are interested in joining the group and have any suggestions for topics.
