Membership

Membership is open to all residents in the area who are not in full time employment.

Our membership year runs from September 1st and annual membership fees are currently £10.00 per annum.

Our fee includes a £3.50 membership fee paid to our National Organisation,the Third Age Trust (T.A.T) which provides a wide range of services and benefits including liability insurance.

Anyone joining in July or August will still need to pay the membership fee of £10 but when the renewal form for the following U3A year commencing September 1st is due for completion no additional levy will be charged

MEMBERS OF OTHER u3a's within the Staffordshire Link (i.e. Cheadle, Burton-on-Trent, Stafford, Leek, Cannock Chase, Stoke-on-Trent South (Longton), and Stone) have two choices:-

• They can continue as full members of Uttoxeter u3a, paying a reduced annual fee, currently £7.50, as they will get insurance cover and the u3a News through their main u3a or
• They can attend Uttoxeter events and groups without by just paying the £1 attendance fee (or relevant Group fee). They will not get the Newsletter or the updates. If space is limited, priority will be given to Uttoxeter u3a members.

The Terms of Membership of Uttoxeter u3a are listed below

All members must:
•Abide by the Principles of the u3a movement;
•Always act in the best interests of the u3a and never do anything to bring the U3A into disrepute;
•Abide by the terms and conditions of the constitution;
•Treat fellow members with respect and courtesy at all times;
•Comply with and support the decisions of the elected committee;
•Advise the committee of any change of personal details.

Members can find a copy of the Principles of the u3a Movement, and a copy of the Constitution, on the Notice Board at Wilfred House and on the Uttoxeter and District Website

If you wish to Join Uttoxeter U3A please complete an Enrolment Form for New Members by clicking on the link shown opposite Enrolment Form for 2023-2024. This will produce a Pdf file which you can download, complete and bring to the Open House at Wilfred House on Wednesday's 10 to 11.30am
