Amble 15th August
The Colton Curse struck again and the Recce Party (Me) got lost again. Well not lost really because I could work out exactly where I was - I just wasn’t where I meant to be.
This Amble is only about 3 miles long and has around a dozen stiles en-route, it passes through Colton Wild Flower Meadow, runs alongside a stream before passing through meadows and cornfields and by a traction engine enthusiast’s yard.
Do not wear shorts for this Amble as there are healthy growths of nettles and thistles to negotiate in a couple of places.
Meet at Bramshall Road Car Park for car share at 9.30 or at the Old Dun Cow Colton at 10.00.
Start from the The Dun Cow in Colton at 10.00 and lunch (Optional) will be there at 12.45.
Detail of the walks are also posted on the notice board in Wilfred House.
Note that there is no group fee to attend this group.
