SUN Study Days
Our programme of study days seeks to cover a wide range of topics, including the arts, humanities, science and current affairs. These popular events are intended to enrich our members’ knowledge of the topics covered. Study day tutors are usually professionals in their field. The cost is now £8 for members of SUN U3As & £10 for all other applicants. Send a stamped addressed envelope for your ticket/s, with cheque payment and booking form please. Booking forms and venue maps are linked to each event. NB If a Study Day is cancelled, those people who have booked will be personally informed by email or by phone, if close to date, and all cheques will be destroyed.
These are arranged free for members of Sussex U3As with like interests (e.g. treasurers, newsletter editors, web managers or leaders of special interest groups) to share their experience. They are led by members for members. The maximum number attending a SUN workshop is usually about 20. If there is a high demand for a particular workshop, it may be repeated at a later date. Booking and venue maps are linked to each event.
The Third Age Trust (TAT - the U3A national office) also runs national study days, workshops and events. Their Event links now go directly to the Eventbrite webpage which has information and online booking for that event. NB Payment by credit card is safest option online.
(If a direct link is not available, go to the national office website - you will need to register as a member on your first visit, then go to the Events page. Alternatively, you can contact them via The Third Age Trust, 52, Lant Street, London SE1 1RB or 020 8466 6139 or email them via firstname.lastname@example.org.)
