Venue: Members' Homes.
Group Description: We agree on a subject or artist between us ,and have discussions, listen to presentations, given by a member of the group, watch DVDs, and have occasional outings. A wide range of art and artists is covered from classical to modern.
Level of Knowledge or Skill Required: We are a very relaxed group and no prior knowledge is required , just an interest in Art and Artist.
U3A Art Appreciation visit to Greenwich
10 members of Lillian’s group ventured up to Greenwich by train for an ‘Art day out’.
We went to see the special Canaletto exhibition that was on at the National Maritime Museum.
After lunch we had a guided tour by one of our members of the magnificent Painted Hall and the beautiful Chapel of the Old Royal Naval College.
We just had time for a quick visit to the art exhibition in the Queens House before heading home.
We had a great day and were inspired and educated by all the wonderful art.
