U3A Science Network 2019 Annual Meeting
The Science Network's 2019 Annual Meeting will be held from Monday 5 to Thursday 8 August 2019 at Aston University, Birmingham Conference Aston. A map of the campus is available from the right-hand Links Menu.
How to get there: Go to Conference Aston Map & Directions for comprehensive information about how to travel by car or public transport to the Conference Centre.
The conference centre is just a ten minute walk from Birmingham New Street, Snow Hill or Moor Street railway stations. There is a taxi rank at each station, cost per journey between £6 and £7. There’s also a taxi rank on campus.
Car Parking is available on the campus but is relatively expensive (£7.95 per 24 hours) and must be
booked and paid for in advance - see Car Parking, so it is suggested that delegates consider sharing a car to reduce the cost - or come by public transport!
Booking:The Booking Form is now available - download from the Links Menu on the right as either a pdf or a doc file. Read the Booking Information first.
Programme: The latest information about the Speakers Programme is available at Speakers as at Jan 19.
If you’d like to submit a Demonstration or Presentation, please download the forms from the Links Menu. Note: we already have several presentations in, so please send yours as soon as you can. Do contact Jane Whitehead email@example.com, if you’d like to discuss your ideas first.
This year we may be offering a Robotics Challenge which could interest mechanical or electrical constructors in the U3A movement who like to build small items as projects. Have a look and see what you think.
