Tweeddale

Walking

1. Long Walks are arranged on alternate Wednesdays and meet at 9.30am in Kingsmeadows Car Park, Peebles.
The Group is organised and led by a member on the day and the details are circulated by email beforehand. The walk locations range from the Pentlands, Tweed Valley and the Melrose area. Car-sharing is encouraged if required with a contribution to fuel costs made. The distances are between 5 - 8 miles and are usually in the mornings but occasionally a packed lunch is required.

2. Middle distance walks meet on the opposite Wednesdays from the above group with the same arrangements, except they are more local and the distances are between 2 – 5 miles and always in the mornings.

3. Short walks are arranged every Wednesday morning and involve gentle strolls locally. Arrangements are circulated by email. The short walks almost always meet at Peebles PO at 09.30 with our bus passes. We always have a coffee at the end and members who are temporarily unable to walk are very welcome to join us.
