Turriff & District U3A provides educational, recreational and social activities for retired or semi-retired people around the Turriff area.
We are part of a world-wide organisation dedicated to retired people who wish to continue learning in the company of others.
Our aim is to encourage both leisure and study activities in a wide range of subjects.
We have a wide-ranging selection of interest groups, for example: French Conversation; Nature Walks;Backgammon. More information can be found by clicking the Groups button above. You can usually try out a Group without making a long term commitment.
There is a General Meeting on the first Tuesday of each month (except July and August). We meet at 2:00pm in St Ninian’s Church in Gladstone Terrace, Turriff and have a visiting speaker each month – followed by tea or coffee. The aim is to bring members together socially and to publicise the activities of the groups and any other events. You are welcome to attend any meeting as a visitor where you can meet members and group leaders and get a feel of what the U3A has to offer. Details can be found on the Events page
£20.00 subscription per annum (due in April).
Additional costs for each group are paid by group members. E.g. transport, theatre tickets etc.
Members also receive nationally produced U3A magazines and are allowed access to any U3A in the UK.
