Discussions in philosophy
Famously attributed to Socrates by Plato, the statement that “the unexamined life is not worth living” raises many more questions than answers. This group will study the history and development of philosophy, the work of philosophers from the Greeks to modern day and attempt to answer questions – from the important to the apparently trivial.
The group will meet initially once a month on a day to be determined (probably Monday, Tuesday or Friday morning). Meetings will take the form of talks (members will be encouraged to give these), readings and discussion.
