Early Women Doctors Research Gp
“Early Women Doctors” is a research group, which will try to document the struggles of women to qualify within the United Kingdom, and their fight to gain acceptance from colleagues and patients that they should be treated on equal terms.
Participation will be by email and Zoom meetings as required and agreed by the group. members
The group would need minimum of 4 up to maximum of 10 member to run and would meet on days and times agreed by the members.
Experience of group working useful, however a willingness to listen and learn is more important. Any retired members of the medical profession would be most welcome!
A British Newspaper Archive subscription would be useful but not obligatory. Hopefully, local libraries will open in due course and access to newspapers will then become possible there as well. The idea is to have fun while you learn.
If you are interested in joining this group please email: Groups Co-Ordinator quoting Early Lady Doctors Research Group in the message.
