Music Appreciation

Group LeaderDave Clarke
VenueNora Grace Hall, Faversham Close, Tring, HP23 5BA
WhenThird Wednesday of the month 1.30 p.m. to 3.30 p.m.

Our meetings aim to provide members with an opportunity to learn about different composers, performers and musical genres (which in the past have extended from rock & roll through light music to opera) and a forum in which you can meet others with musical interests.

Members do not need to know anything about performance or the technical aspects of music - you just need to enjoy listening. Our talks ― which are given by group members (we occasionally have guest speakers) ― usually take the form of slide shows illustrated by excerpts from concerts either on CD or video. The Group Leader is happy to help members who wish to give talks with their preparation and the use of audio/visual equipment (which we supply).

Meetings are informal and there is a 20 minute break in which tea and biscuits are served. New members are always welcome (to contact the Group Leader click on the bird above).
