The Golf group generally meets once a month, usually the third Thursday. The day can vary, subject to the availability of courses and when they may have special offers for seniors.

The group is open to anyone - an official handicap is not required. Indeed, open to golfers whose biggest handicap may be themselves. The major requirement is that you know the rules of golf, have your own equipment and can get round a course in a reasonable amount of time. If necessary, hire a buggy.

The aim of the group is to play a variety of courses for fun. Due to the nature of the game it is not appropriate for the Golf group to teach newcomers, who should start by visiting a golf professional for some initial lessons. You are more than welcome to join us for on-course practice, though.
