Architecture subjects previously covered

Since the group began in 2008 there have been presentations on a wide range of subjects and architects.

They include Anton Gaudi, Santiago Calatrava, Sir Christopher Wren, Walter Gropius/Bauhaus, Sir George Gilbert Scott, A W Pugin, K F Schinkel and Charles Rennie Mackintosh. We have also studied the Ottoman architect Mimar Sinan, Sir John Vanbrugh and Nicholas Hawksmoor, Palladio, Sir Edwin Lutyens, E B Lamb and Renzo Piano.

General subjects have include Dutch Colonial Architecture, Architecture of Southern Arabia, Japanese Architecture, Imperial Russian Architecture, the Iconic Buildings of New York, Architecture of the Industrial Revolution, Seaside Architecture, Dating churches, Port Sunlight, Mass European Housing, Baltic Architecture, Victorian Railway Stations and unusual and bad buildings. Recent general subjects include Inca and Spanish Architecture of Peru, the Rothschild Legacy, Building a Georgian Town and studying various building materials.
