Latin Group
Contact: Sue Clemenson

Ad nauseam, et cetera, inter alia, caveat emptor, carpe diem. All these and more are Latin phrases which we use in everyday speech. A group who decided that they wanted to find out more started a Latin Group in 2015. Some had studied Latin in the dim and distant past, others were new to Latin. We are working through a study course designed by Cambridge University. The group meets on the third Wednesday afternoon each month. Because of the nature of the learning i.e we started from scratch this group is now closed.

However more people wanted to learn Latin so another group was set up in October 2019. This group meets on the fourth Wednesday of each month. Again this is building blocks learning so new members can only join up to April 2020 at the latest. If you have prior knowledge, e.g an ancient O level, this deadline could be extended to June/July 2020.
