Art/Craft Group

The Art/Craft Group meets on the fourth Friday of the month from 2pm to 4pm at the Colbury Memorial Hall, in the Ashurst Room.

The monthly sessions run from January to March, and start-up again in September through to November inclusive (no summer months or December).

The charge for each meeting (at present) is £1.50 but this depends upon attendance numbers. We have to cover the hire cost of the room at Colbury Hall, which has just been increased to £21 a month.

As our group numbers at the start of 2016 were so low, we combined with the Totton U3A Art and Craft Group. We have 20 members in the group at the moment but are always looking for new members, so do come along and see if you enjoy our sociable group whatever your level of expertise. Please bring your own medium of art that you are happy to work in - maybe picking up your brush and paints again after many years. We do have experienced artists in watercolour, coloured pencils or acrylics that would be happy to help and guide you. Some of our ladies like to knit (and chat), whilst others enjoy their hobby of felting and card-making, etc - come and join us. (We do have some gentlemen members, so come along lads and have a go).

Please contact me if you are interested in joining the Art/Craft Group by using the icon on the right-hand side of this page (the pigeon).
