If you are in your third age, (the period in one’s life after the second age of full-time employment and parental responsibility) and live in Torquay or its surrounding area, you are welcome to join us.

EXISTING MEMBERS: HOW TO RENEW YOUR MEMBERSHIP
There are four options for payment.
1. PAY BY PAYPAL
Renewals: If any of your details have changed, please fill in the Torbay u3a Online Subscription Form before clicking on the link below.
If your details are the same as last year, you can go directly to PayPal payment: Please Click here to pay by PayPal.
You will receive an email from PayPal to confirm your payment, and this can be used in place of your membership card as proof of membership.
You will also receive an electronic copy of your membership card by email from the Membership Secretary. If you wish to receive a paper copy of the membership card, please contact the Membership Secretary
2. PAY BY POST:
Please download, print and complete a 2024 Subscription Form, enclose a cheque made payable to Torbay u3a for the required amount and send it to the Membership Secretary, 12 Morgan Avenue, Torquay TQ2 5RS. The address is also printed on the form.
Receipt of your subscription will be acknowledged promptly by email. If you do not have email, or are completing a membership form for someone without email, the receipt will be enclosed with the next newsletter.
If you wish to receive your membership card by return of post, please enclose a stamped addressed envelope. Otherwise you can collect your membership card at one of our Monthly Meetings - see our Events page for details.
3. PAY AT A MONTHLY MEETING:
Our monthly meetings are on the second Wednesday of each month starting at 2pm for 2:15pm at Central Church. (December 2023 meeting is on 13th December, January 2024 meeting is on 10th January). You can find further details of our meetings on our Events page.
You may pay in cash or by cheque payable to Torbay u3a, but there is no card machine facility. When paying by cash, please have the correct amount ready if possible.
You can also complete a subscription form at the meeting if you have not already done so, and we will provide you with a membership card.
4. PAY BY BANK TRANSFER
You can now pay for your renewal by BACS to our Nat West account.
Before making a payment, please complete the Online Subscription Form. Make sure that you press SUBMIT at the end of the online form to send your response. You can then go to online banking and make your BACS payment.

Please use payment ref. [surname][first name] so that we can identify your payment - you have 18 spaces for the reference
Receipt of your subscription will be acknowledged promptly by email as soon as we receive confirmation of your payment from the Bank. This can take up to a week or more.
An electronic copy of your membership card will be emailed to you. If you wish to receive a paper copy of your membership card, you can request this at a Speaker's meeting.
N.B. the confirmation email can also be used as proof of membership in place of your membership form.
GENERAL INFORMATION - RENEWALS
In December, all current members will receive a reminder to pay their annual membership fee by December 31st. From December 1st you can use any of the above methods to renew your membership for the following year.
Please note, only current members are able to join Groups and will be required to show their membership card or a payment receipt to the Group leader when they first attend, and on their first attendance at the Group in the New Year.
Where membership fees have not been received by February 1st, members will be contacted with a request for immediate payment. Where fees have not been received by March 1st, membership will be suspended. In order to participate in our activities, receive the Newsletter and Third Age Matters, you will need to re-join.
