Dear Mrs Smith
I must object to the way you call me old
I really am as young as I feel,
I'm strong and keen and bold,
My age is immaterial
I still look almost young,
I am placid, meek and good looking
And still not highly strung
I might veer to the right hand side
And go a steady ten
But I can go even faster
Just like other men
My eyesight is quite normal
I can see for 20 feet
And although I'm a vegetarian
I still eat lots of meat
So you see, my age is nothing
Of that I am emphatic
So you must stop saying that I'm old
