This large group aims to explore industrial history both locally and nationally.
In the autumn through to spring a series of talks are arranged and visits follow in the spring and summer months. Usually on the second Friday in the month
Among topics covered are the woollen industry, brewing, railways, inland waterways, gunpowder making and many more.
Autumn 2019 to Spring 2020, talks planned so far are.
October 11th. John Page, "Lighthouses of The Bristol Channel". Two of our members have already heard this talk and say they are coming again as it's so good! Apologies for leaving the date out of October's newsletter.
November's talk is by our own Graham Hooper, he promises no trains but I've heard that before! November 8th. is the date.
Both talks will be at Heathcoat Old School Community Center in King Street.
The group usually meets on the second Friday of the month. We will be meeting in Old Heathcoat School Community Centre at 2.30.
