The "Ballroom Dance group" is held in the Tiptree Community Centre, 1a Caxton Close, Tiptree, CO5 0HA. on Friday mornings 10.45-11.45. There is a small charge of £3 per person per session to cover the cost of the hall hire.
Sessions are run by Silvan & Debbie. We intend to learn and build on simple routines in both Ballroom and Latin, with an emphasis on lessons that are paced to suit all dancers, even the slowest learners, ensuring that we concentrate on technique as well as fun.
Dancing has many positive benefits, it is a wonderful activity that will benefit your mind, body, and soul. Dancing can enhance your health and fitness, mental agility, and social life. Dancing as an activity has shown that socialising and dancing with friends can contribute to increased confidence and a more positive outlook. Dancing reduces stress and tension, so over time can leave one with an overall sense of well-being.
Ballroom dancing isn’t just about shuffling around to music; it’s a perfect combination of physical activity, social interaction, and mental health.
We encourage anyone who likes to dance to come along and give it a try. Ballroom dancing is a partnered activity so if you are on your own your ability to practice may be limited but that should not discourage your participation.
