We meet on the 4th Thursday of the month and we like to be on site by 09.30. We usually drift away about 12.00 for coffee, pub or home.
Essex is blessed with fantastic bird watching sites and facilities.
We decide by about the middle of the month on which site to visit and members are notified by email. Transport is required, although car sharing is usually arranged by members.
Binoculars would make bird watching easier as we do not share equipment.
Membership to Essex Wildlife Trust is useful but not essential as you could pay as you go.
Warm clothing and waterproof footwear are required as some sites can be wet and hides are drafty.
We have enough information between the group to assist beginners on bird identification.
Should you have further questions, please contact John Daniells on 01621 815089.
The next meeting will be at Fingringhoe at approx 10.15 am, leaving Tiptree at about 09.45.
