Tiptree

Table Tennis

ALL FACE to FACE MEETINGS AND GROUPS HAVE BEEN SUSPENDED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

VIRTUAL MEETINGS MAY BE HELD ON SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS AND VIDEO CONFERENCING

PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU MUST BE A FULLY PAID UP MEMBER OF TIPTREE U3A BEFORE YOU CAN ATTEND AN INTEREST GROUP

The Table Tennis section is a joint venture between Tiptree and Witham U3As. We meet on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month (except for Bank Holidays) at Rivenhall Village Hall from 1330 to 1630.

You will need to provide your own suitable footwear but otherwise we provide all that is needed. There are 3 tables and the hall is well-lit and spacious and there is adequate car parking.

The standard varies but there are opportunities for all with the usual doubles format. At half-time, there is tea or coffee and cakes. There is a contribution of £3 each per session but, as the cost of the Hall is increasing, this is also likely to increase to £4.

While there is no formal coaching, we are all “improvers” and the atmosphere is both competitive and encouraging.

New members will be made very welcome, so why not come along and see if you enjoy it?
