London Dockland trip
A good time was had by all. An afternoon on a boat in London Dockland.
There was a brilliant atmosphere. Traditional Pie and mash with the cockney afternoon.
We were greeted on the boat by Gyll who gave us a brief history of the area. Two of our members dressed as pearly Queens and they looked stunning. Many reported that after singing so much ended with sore throats
We even joined in with the show - such a laugh.
Everyone wants to know when the next one is going to be.

Mamma Mia
On Thursday 12th October a coach full of members attended the matinee performance of the long running musical Mamma Mia. We arrived at midday at the venue in plenty of time for everyone to find a suitable place for lunch. Many of us ate at Cote Brasserie which was two minutes’ walk from the theatre and I think everyone had a delicious meal.
We all made our way to the Novello Theatre and I believe everyone enjoyed the performance. The lady playing Donna was outstanding and her Winner Takes it All was a showstopper. The enthusiasm and energy of the entire cast was infectious. The music provided by the orchestra is top notch. Overall it was a brilliant show.

I have arranged to attend the afternoon matinee performance of ‘Tina’ The Tina Turner Musical at the Aldwych Theatre.
Tina – The Tina Turner Musical is an exhilarating celebration of the artist we knew and loved. Set to the pulse-pounding soundtrack of her much-loved hits. During her incredible life, Tina Turner won 12 Grammy Awards and her live shows were seen by millions, selling more concert tickets than any other solo performer in music history.
The Aldwych Theatre is in Aldwych with plenty of eateries nearby and we will arrive in time for everyone to find a suitable place for lunch.
Would you please complete the booking form and return it, together with cheque payment of trip price per person made payable to Thurrock U3A, as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. If you book any show and you are unable to come nearer the time, please let us know, within five weeks of the show, then we have a chance of filling the place and you will not lose your money.
