Ramble & Lunch
15 of us and a dog set of on a nice sunny day round Heybridge Basin, Maldon. We walked along the coastal path admiring the views (shame the tide was out), stopping for our coffee break at Osea View Cafe. Dogs not being allowed in 3 people sat outside eating apple pies, while the rest of us went inside upstairs looking out over the lovely views of Osea island enjoying our coffees/teas.
After our break we then walked back to the Carpark, wind picking up on the way back due to the tide coming in. In all we walked 4 miles. At the Carpark we said goodbye to 2 people who went home, while the rest of us went on for our meal at the Jolly Sailor. Due to parking restrictions we had to move our cars to the pubs Carpark.
We then had a lovely lunch, dog included this time.
Next month on Wednesday 14th we will be going to Thorndon County Park, meet in Carpark by the side of Halfway House where we will be eating- CM13 3LL.
