| Cost: | This varies. It can be for travel, entry fees, or to hire a room in the library. The cost of a guide in one of the Edinburgh Galleries is divided among those attending. |
The aim of this group is to meet the varied interests of the members by visiting art galleries, in Edinburgh or round the Borders, wherever there is an exhibition that we would like to see.
When not visiting galleries, we meet in Galashiels Library to hear a talk about an artist(s) or art movement. This will usually be delivered by one of the members. Sometimes, we visit an artist's studio or watch a demonstration by a professional artist.
We hope that members will participate on occasion by doing research into an artist and talking about them to the group.
