London Group 7
The leaders of London Group 7 are Dave & Dana Harbage.
Our recent visits have been amongst others, the London Mithraeum Exhibition in EC4, the Horniman Museum in Forest Hill, Highgate Cemetery, the Tate & National Galleries, Southbank to Waterloo, Ragged School museum and Wapping/Limehouse. These are the key highlights of the trips, but the additional points of interest are far too numerous to include here.
Although only four of us, our group enjoyed bright weather in heading to Blackheath - one of London’s loveliest villages. We explored the impressive heath (where highwaymen roamed 150 years ago) and viewed impressive architecture and countless grand Georgian and Victorian houses on a three mile walk around the village. These included Morden College (an almshouse for retired gentlemen) and the homes or resting places of famous people (from Antarctic explorers to Haley’s Comet astronomers) and ended at a microbrewery, before walking another mile and a half north to Greenwich.
