London Group 7
The leaders of London Group 7 are Dave & Dana Harbage.
Our recent visits have been amongst others, the London Mithraeum Exhibition in EC4, the Horniman Museum in Forest Hill, Highgate Cemetery, the Tate & National Galleries, Southbank to Waterloo, Ragged School museum and Wapping/Limehouse. These are the key highlights of the trips, but the additional points of interest are far too numerous to include here.
Our walk started at Limehouse stopping for coffee at the Yurt before walking along the Thames Path to the Thames Police Museum in Wapping where we had an interesting talk by the curator. After a pub lunch we crossed the river to Rotherhithe and visited the Finnish Church (with sauna and cafe), then walked to the nearby pretty Norwegian Church. At both churches we met the very friendly rectors who told us about their origins. We then walked back to Tower Bridge following the Thames Path and visited the Mayflower pub, St Mary's Church and various other landmarks and historic sites along the way.
