Now that Coronavirus restrictions have relaxed Thornbury U3A Music Group has resumed their activities and our September 2021 and October 2021 meetings have both been held successfully. We are providing hand-sanitiser and arranging for socially distanced seating but masks may be removed while listening to music and we are serving teas, coffees and biscuits as normal.
Our programme up to the end of the season in June 2022 is as follows:-
Friday 12th November
Helen Roberts will give a talk on Handel.”He was the master of us all. The greatest composer who ever lived” said Beethoven. Helen says “many of his works are instantly recognisable. But so much of his music is less well known. I hope to demonstrate the huge range of his music in my illustrated talk”.

Our old friends the Jenner Jazz Quartet will play for our Christmas meeting. Fruit punch and mince pies will be served
Friday 14th January
Gareth Williams will put on his classical music hat and introduce us to his Rockhampton Wind Quintet

Annual Lunch – venue to be advised

In the event of the programme being curtailed due to the resumption of lockdown conditions we will either refund members or retain a proportionate credit.
