Computing
Computer Club is for everyone interested in computers!
Computers are everywhere in our lives these days and many of us own mobile devices such as tablets and smartphones as well as laptop and desktop computers.
At Computer Club we try to cover technical matters as well as the fun side of using computers. Our meetings regularly take the form of short talks each followed by a discussion, with contributions welcome from experts and beginners alike. At our regular help sessions, individual assistance is offered by the more experienced members - just bring in your laptop or tablet, ask what you need to know and we’ll help if we can. WiFi is available. You can also ask for help by e-mail.
Meetings are normally on the first Friday of every month except June, July and August, in the Buckingham Room at the Chantry. Doors are open from about 10 am for coffee and chat and the meeting starts at 10.30 am. We finish at midday.
New members are always welcome and any U3A member can come when they wish. Pay £1 at the door and add your name and Thornbury U3A membership number to our contact list.
