Have you ever looked at an art work and wondered about its meaning, about the artist, the techniques used and the skills involved? Then, perhaps you’ll find the Art Appreciation group is for you.
You certainly don’t have to be an Art Historian to join, for we are all learning together. You will be most welcome to come along to try one or two sessions as a visitor or if you like the look of our varied and fascinating programme listed below, you can become a member from the beginning.
Meetings take place in the Buckingham room at The Chantry on the third Thursday afternoon of the month unless otherwise indicated on the programme. The presentations begin at 2 p.m. although the room is open from 1.30 for those who would like to arrive early and meet up with friends in the group.
We have an hour’s presentation given by a visiting speaker or a member of our group followed by questions and answers.
For further information please contact Pauline Rummens, the Group Leader, on Thornbury 413591 or by email to Art Appreciation
