Back on track!

Wednesday 11th July 2018.

Wonderful! Super! Terrific!

Just a few quick comments from walkers who joined Judy Chisman for her guided walk from Elmswell.

Judy has very kindly provided a cameo of her walk, together with three photo's.

Those of us who were unable to join the group on 11th July may be encouraged to get back on track and discover the walk for ourselves.

Judy writes:

"Many thanks, friends from Thetford, for sharing a lovely walk and indeed an excellent meal at the Fox.

This walk was notable for the song of the skylarks over the yellow wheat fields.

We made a circular walk from Elmswell village sign skirting the eastern side of the village, then between the fields and woodlands to Wetherden.

We called at the church but couldn’t discover the signposted Commonwealth War Graves.

From Wetherden we wandered along shady paths and into the community wood.

Our walk then took us under a railway bridge and across fields where we encountered two magnificent horses. Roger quickly got acquainted!

We followed the footpath over more fields and along wooded tracks to emerge north of Elmswell.

Following the footpath took us through the broad bean fields back to the village."

Thanks Judy for your much appreciated help and support. So pleased everyone enjoyed a great day together.
