A gentle countryside ramble of about six miles, enjoying gentle breezes and scudding clouds - apart from the last few minutes! It rained - but not for long!!
Before setting off, some took time to explore the remains and refurbishments of St. John the Evangelist Church. Today the chancel alone serves as a church.
Our route took us passed Caldecote Farm and along far-reaching lanes and footpaths, before entering the delightful village of Gooderstone.
Crossing the River Gadder a second time heralded the final few furlongs and a much anticipated lunch at the very welcoming Bedingfield Arms.
Thanks for your company everyone.
