2020 Walks Leader
28 Jan 8 miles - A circular walk starting from Nuffield Church car park. This walk explores the western edge of the Chilterns and has splendid views reaching across the Goring gap. The walk is a good location for winter as it covers a number of restricted byways and old tracks and is not as muddy as some other areas. It can still be muddy in places. There is a pub, the “King William” in Hailey which is a possible for lunch but it has restricted opening times and I'm not sure what time we will get there. I suggest you bring food and drink with you as backup. Meet as usual at the boy scout H.Q. in southern road at 9.30. Brian Fisher
25 Feb Approx 8 miles - Walking mostly on footpaths in Blenheim estate using sections of Akeman street and the outskirts of Coombe before returning to the estate roads. Slight incline, short hill, no styles. Can be muddy in places. Parking in free car park of Hensington Road. If busy you can park in Brook Hill just below the car park. Bring picnic. If prefered we could keep walking and have lunch in a pub in Woodstock. Meet at 9.30 at the scouts H Q in Southern Road for car sharing. Michael Weeks
