What a way to take over the leadership of a group! I was due to start from the 7th April meeting, but everything has changed so quickly! We have been able to improvise, however, and have come up with a way of sharing our themed photographs for the month via an on-line website, which has the wonderful advantage of being free to use.
I wish to record the thanks of the whole group to Alan Marsh for his stellar leadership over some ten years now. His professionalism and technical know-how have been excellent at all times and I know everyone who has been a member during Alan’s time as leader will appreciate everything which he has done in terms of organising the monthly meetings, as well as trips and tutorial/workshop opportunities to learn more about our shared hobby.
I have reserved a slot at the usual time between 2 and 4 pm on the website during which time members may comment on the photographs uploaded by each member. Photographs may be uploaded at any time leading up to and including the ‘meeting’ date.

The theme for April will be ‘Something unusual: get up close, macro, unusual angle.’
Subsequent themes will be:
5th May Shapes Round/square – Natural/man made
2nd June Monochrome Shades of grey
7th July Openings Frame the shot
4th August Free choice Any recent, or your best shots
1st September Flight Nature or objects
6th October Maritime Vessels, coastal
3rd November Trees/Leaves Texture, patterns, colour
1st December Favourite Shots Your choice
5th January 2021 Seasons 3 or 4 shots for each season

Whilst the current restrictions apply, there may be folks among our members who would like to join the on-line photography forum. I guess that it will be hard to take photos of anywhere exotic at the moment, but photos from the archives are just as good to view and review. If you would like to join our ‘virtual’ group, please contact me by way of the details on the Groups page of this edition of TUTA News.
Keep safe.
Steve

Meetings held at the Jubilee Room – Bredon Village Hall

First Tuesday each Month, 2.0pm - 4.0pm

We are a group of mainly enthusiastic amateur photographers who meet and display our photographs via projector, discussing techniques, content and accessories if employed. There is a fairly wide knowledge of equipment and post camera editing software, sufficient to cover most members’ questions. We also try to cover a specific photographic topic, a help clinic or an element of editing software during the monthly meeting.

The facilities at Bredon Village Hall fully meet the Group’s needs and there is ample free car parking a short distance away. There is a 6 month Term Fee (cost varies according to the number enrolled) which covers the hire cost of the meeting room. Attendance at meetings costs 50p per person.

New Members of all photographic ability are very welcome
