This page was last updated on 16 October.
Refreshments are served from about 9.40 to 9.50 with our programmes running from 10.00 - 12.00 with a short break halfway through.
We continue to present and discuss high quality recordings on good equipment in comfortable surroundings.
Our presentations are mainly of classical music recordings with regular forays into other genres.
We aim to please a wide range of musical taste and to discover lesser-known composers and their music, and less well known music of well-known composers, without excluding favourites in general.
The music ranges from early to recent and includes not only symphonic but instrumental as well as vocal works. The aim is to provide a balance of these in most of the programmes.
A brief explanation will precede each piece, and a short discussion may follow it.
We hope to receive your comments and suggestions through the coming months.
The dates for our sessions are:
|Nov 06||Pat Dudley requests music by Grainger, Haydn, Gliere, Wolf-Ferrari, Elgar and Guilmant.|
|Nov 20||Il Giardina Degli Amanti (The Lovers' Garden) Ballet to music by Mozart.|
|Dec 04||Music by van Noordt, Elgar, Copland, Tartini, Mudarra and Korngold.|
|Dec 18||Christmas Carols and Christmas nibbles.|
|Jan 15||Still Life at the Penguin Café. Ballet choreography by David Bintley to music by Simon Jeffes.|
