Welcome to the Test Villages u3a.
u3a stands for the University of the Third Age, which is a self-help organisation for people no longer in full time employment providing educational, creative and leisure opportunities in a friendly environment. It consists of local u3as all over the UK, which are run entirely by volunteers.
The u3a provides excellent opportunities to meet other local people who may have similar interests to you. At the same time you may find that joining TVu3a opens up a new social life, and offers you new interests or new ideas. TVu3a draws its membership from the many villages south of Andover and north of Romsey, we currently have over 150 members.
General meetings with speakers are normally held on the first Thursday of each month at Chilbolton Village Hall, from 2 to 4pm. Monthly meetings are well attended and our speakers cover an interesting and diverse range of subjects. The talks are followed by social time when we serve refreshments.
Members are encouraged to share their knowledge and talents, and our varied and active U3A groups reflect our members' interests. We welcome suggestions for new groups.
If you are interested in joining or would like to know more please contact us. Membership is open to anyone over 50, who is no longer in full time employment, and is resident in the Test Villages area.
New members are welcomed and may attend one or two meetings as visitors before deciding whether to join.
Information on the various groups can be seen by clicking on Groups above.
If you have any questions, please contact our chair - Chris Backwell , or go to our Membership page.
