Tenbury Wells

Events

To celebrate the Tenth Anniversary of the formation of Tenbury Wells U3A ('University of the Third Age'), a young apple tree was planted in a patch of ground in front of Tenbury's iconic Pump Rooms, along with a memorial plaque noting the date '5th July 2019' and the apple tree's variety 'Rosette'.

Fittingly, 'Rosette' is a recent introduction by local tree-growers Frank P Matthews: it is a red apple with pink flesh which has a rosette pattern seen when it is cut in half.

U3A holds 'Coffee & Chat' (u3a monthly meeting) on the first Friday of every month at the Lodge rooms in Church Street from 10.00am to 12.00noon.

We have had various events including the Queens Platinum Jubilee in 2022. We acknowledged the Queens last journey at the end of 2022. We celebrated the Kings Coronation in 2023 with a very enjoyable party. We are planning to acknowledge VE day and planning a 1940's party this year.
