Teignmouth & District

Teignmouth & District U3A is part of a national movement for positive ageing for the wellbeing of older people and the communities in which we live. Our group currently has over 200 active members who have joined because they wish to socialise and learn together. We belong to the Devon Link network of local U3A groups and share knowledge and experience, growing the U3A movement together.

The U3A movement is a great way to meet like-minded local people. We have a self help ethos (there are no teachers, we all learn together) and have kept our annual subscription as low as we can, at £15 until 31 July 2021. To join us, please read 'Joining Teignmouth & District U3A' via the link on the right, you can find the Membership Form link on the Members page, please download and print it out.

We have a large number of Groups, covering everything from social to exercise to learning together. A number of our Interest Groups have moved to meeting by e-mail, telephone and Zoom where this is possible - see "Groups" for details. Our Groups Co-Ordinator and Groups Administrator continue to work hard to connect new members into existing groups - or to form new groups where there is a need.

To join us, no qualifications are necessary and there is no age limit - just a wish to continue learning and to meet new friends.

We are delighted that we have attracted over 200 members since forming in August 2019 - we wish to serve all older people in our wonderful town and surrounding villages. We would love you to join us, enjoy being with us - and to tell your friends about us.
