Teignmouth & District

Thank you for visiting this page, whether you are a member of the U3A movement or "just looking"? August 2020 is our 5th month where we try to navigate our way through the "new normal"....

...Teignmouth & District U3A is part of a national movement for positive ageing for the wellbeing of older people and the communities in which we live. Our group currently has over 220 active members who have joined because they wish to socialise and learn together. We belong to the Devon Link network of local U3A groups and share knowledge and experience, growing the U3A movement together.

The U3A movement is a great way to meet like-minded local people. We have a self help ethos (there are no teachers, we all learn together) and have kept our annual subscription as low as we can, at £15 until 31 July 2021. To join us, please read 'Joining Teignmouth & District U3A' via the link on the right, you can find the Membership Form link on the Members page, please download and print it out.

We currently have over 40 Special Interest Groups, covering everything from social to exercise to learning together. A number of our Interest Groups now meet by e-mail and Zoom, or in gardens or outdoors - see "Groups" for details.

To join us, no qualifications are necessary and there is no age limit - just a wish to continue learning and to meet new friends.
