Short Tennis and Table Tennis

Taw U3A Groups with interest in Bats, Racquets and Balls
.

Short Tennis

Short Tennis, or Mini Tennis, is played on a Badminton-sized court with shorter racquets than those used for ordinary tennis and with slightly softer balls.  The rules we use are the same as for tennis.

We have two courts at the Barnstaple Leisure Centre and play every Wednesday during term-time from 11:00am to 12:00 noon.

To cover the cost of court hire and balls, a charge of £1.00 per session is made.

Anyone who is interested in playing should get in touch with the Group Leaders.

Tables Tennis

This is a very active group which encourages eye and body co-ordination.  We have two tables and the sessions last for two hours every Thursday morning at the Tarka Tennis Centre at 9:30am til 12:00 noon.  It is a very pleasant way to keep fit.

The one advantage of the children returning to school is that you could choose which of the two table tennis tables you would like to play on should you feel the need.

Please use the form on our Contact page to contact the Group Leaders.
