The Crime and Punishment Group meets on the 2nd Tuesday of the month. We meet at the Annexe of Fremington Village Hall between 2:00pm and 4:00pm.

Criminology encompasses many topics and crosses many disciplines.

The topics include:
• Who commits crime and why
• Types of crime, crime detection and the police
• Crown Prosecution Service
• The court system, sentencing, punishment, repeat offending
• Race, religion and bias in the system
• Victims, victim impact and victim support
• Civil v Military systems
• The role of the media

The disciplines:
• Anthropology
• Sociology
• Natural sciences
• Psychology and pathology
• Photography
• Computer technology
