The Committee is elected at the Annual General Meeting to serve for 12 months until the next AGM.
The Officers are Chair, up to 2 Vice Chairs, Secretary and Treasurer. There are then further non-officer members, taking on a variety of roles, to form a Committee with maximum of 12.
To provide a turn-over and to bring in new people and ideas, non-officers can only serve for 3 years. Officers can however serve for 3 years in addition to years as non-officers. The Treasurer can serve for up to 6 years.
The Committee relies on members volunteering to join the Committee and help run our U3A. Without this support, our U3A would not exist. We are always pleased to welcome new Committee members. Please contact us if you would like to know more or if you would like to help.
