Painting and Drawing for Pleasure

The main aims of the group are to enjoy ourselves by exploring different methods of painting and drawing. By using a variety of medium such as Water Colours, Pencils, Graphite and Charcoal, Pastels both soft and hard, Coloured Pencils and Watercolour pencils, Pen and Ink Acrylics and Oils we can develop our own individual styles and techniques. Some of us have also tried Chinese Painting (not as easy as it looks).

We do not have a specific Tutor but use each others skills, experiences and observations. The group Leader can offer advice and give tips and techniques on the use of most mediums if we require it. We work on whatever we like as individuals and experiment albeit with flowers, trees, mountains, butterflies, sheep just to name a few. After the first session you would need to bring your own materials eg paper, paint pencils etc. A small fee is required every 3 months (approx) which will go towards the hire of the room.
