The University of the Third Age (U3A) movement is an organisation for retired and semi-retired people with no lower, or higher age limit, to socialise and keep body and mind active.

We have a range of interest groups that can develop members knowledge together in their subject of interest.
They learn together, not for qualifications but for its own reward: the sheer joy of discovery and sharing a lifetime of experience.
Members share their skills to teach and learn, and there is no distinction between them. We have a wide range of interest groups that you can join and we always interested in forming new interest groups.

Tamworth u3a has been going now for over 30 years. From small beginnings we now have over 400 members.
Our main monthly meeting are at 2:00 p.m. normally on the Second Wednesday of each month at Tamworth Assembly Rooms. We have an interesting programme of speakers on a wide variety of topics, followed by a chance for a cup of tea or coffee and to chat with other members.

Visitor are always welcome to our meetings, For meeting Dates click on Link at the right. For further information contact through our contact page.
We currently have 31 active groups each of which are listed on the Group page with a description of their activities. We also arrange a range of trips and holidays for those interested.

If you join and have interests in a particular topic that you would like to share then talk to a committee member, let us see if we can form another group!
