For historical reasons although the group is called the Country Dance group we are really a Scottish Dance group, the style's a bit different but just as much fun. We’re averaging about 18 members for each session from a group membership of about 30. This is close to perfect as many dances are designed for 4 couples. Luckily numbers aren’t a constraint as our dance leaders (Sue Johnston, Jean Chapman and Sue Burbridge) are perfectly happy to run a session with any number of members.
As we move into spring Scottish Dancing is the perfect antidote to keeping that slight spring chill under control and maintain a degree of fitness without the hassle of a jumper or the boredom of going to the gym, so why don’t you join us?
We meet every Wednesday, 13:45 – 15:45, Heath End Village Hall.
As with most other U3A groups Country Dancing is not meeting at the moment, it doesn't really work if you have to remain 2 metres apart!
