Group Leader Ted Atkinson
If you still remember the Robin Hood series from the 1950s and can sing along to the theme, you need to get out more! So why not make your way to the Memorial Park, behind the Curlew Centre in Sutton Bridge? Join Ted and his merry band of archers, from 10:00am to 12:00 noon on the first Wednesday and third Tuesday of every month. You don't need any experience, just a sense of fun.
A variety of targets, bows and arrows are provided, although if you fancy the idea on the left, you will have to bring your own apple! The middle picture shows that you don't have to be Robin Hood to split your own arrow. This 'fluke' shot was perpetrated by one of our group members, and if he can do it, anyone can!
Our group welcomes all who just wish to come and have a go. But if archery is not for you, U3A Sutton Bridge has many other group activities for you to try. Hope to see you soon!
