The Baking Group meets monthly usually on a Friday afternoon. Each member takes turns to host a meeting and makes a cake or some sort of bake for all to taste, having sent everyone the ingredients' list and recipe beforehand.

Generally the group tastes the cake with a cup of tea and exchanges their hints and tips for baking success. We never run out of anything to say! There is no cost to members as each takes turn to host a meeting. We also decided after a few meetings that as we meet in a member's home and also wish to retain an afternoon tea atmosphere, that we would limit our membership to eight.

We did not let Covid deter us. We continued throughout lockdowns to meet monthly on Zoom and compared our bakes over a cup of tea. Each time we decided on a theme eg citrus cake and were amazed at the differing bakes which appeared - but - we are looking forward to meeting in person again so we can taste all those lovely bakes we could only look at!
